Amy White Joins ITNLanier Advisory Board
ITNLanier is a Hall County, GA based affiliate of ITNAmerica, a national non-profit senior transportation network that provides 24/7, “arm-in-arm”, “door-through-door” transportation services that are designed to replicate the freedom and flexibility of private car ownership. Additionally, ITNLanier provides transportation for Hall County based adults with a visual impairment that prevents them from driving. ITNLanier will use the same proven volunteer-based model which is currently operating in 27 affiliate communities across the country.
Hall County currently has over 41,000 residents that are age 55 or older (20% of the population). Over 8,000 of these are age 74 or older and these numbers are continue to grow. This creates an increasing transportation challenge for Hall County seniors and those who care for them. Without an effective transportation alternative, many elders continue to drive long past the time when it is safe or comfortable for them to do so. ITNLanier is working to give them a better option.
LinkPoint’s founder, Amy White, is proud to join the ITNLanier advisory board to share her experience and insight in providing aging adult services and to help support this critical community initiative.
